Loved Mounira Al Solh’s series of refugee portraits from throughout the Middle East, Europe and the U.S. Hundreds are now on display, each face and story scrawled on yellow legal paper that’s meant to evoke the complex and degrading bureaucracy of the refugee experience. The exhibit is called, “I strongly believe in our right to be frivolous” — a statement by the Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darwish, known for his writing about life in exile. Chicagoans, catch the exhibit before April 29! ❤️
